Mercure Sapporo - INITIATIVES TO REDUCE SINGLE-USE PLASTIC WASTE

Since 2020, the Accor Group Mercure Sapporo has been working to gradually reduce the number of plastic items. Thanks to the cooperation of our customers, environmentally friendly initiatives such as eco-cleaning for guests who stay for consecutive nights has been implemented.
In line with Accor’s 2022 single-use plastic reduction targets, we are changing the single-use plastic amenities installed in guest rooms as follows:

* The change will be made on December 23, 2022. (Updated on December 15, 2022)

[Change to substitute] (From December 23)

• Bamboo toothbrush

• Toothpaste (paper packaging)

• Bamboo comb → Please use the Amenity Bar

• Sanitary bag made from biomass plastic

• Tea in paper packaging

• Paper-packaged bottled water (2 bottles per room)

• Shower cap → Please use the Amenity Bar

• Sewing kit and razor → Not placed in the room, available upon request only

【Laundry Service】 (December 23)
The types of items that can be used for laundry service are restricted.
For items that cannot be accepted, we recommend using the coin laundry in the hotel. (Coin laundry located on 6/F, 9/F and 12/F)
The laundry service can only accept items that can be handed over to you on a hanger when it is finished.
Laundry bags will not be placed in the room and will be provided only for guests who are in need.

【About the benefits of Privilege Room】 (From December 23)

As part of this initiative, we have made some changes to the benefits of our high-floor Privilege rooms (Suites, Queens, Twins).

POLA “Aroma Ess.Gold Skincare Set” (from April 1, 2023)

(liquid cleansing, moisturizing lotion, moisturizing milk)

Elemental Herbology (Neroli & Bergamot) pump-type bath amenities (from April 1, 2023)

(shampoo, conditioner, body wash, liquid soap, body lotion)

※Elemental Herbology bath amenities will be introduced to all rooms in the future.

※Body lotion will be exclusive to Privilege rooms.
