Mercure Sapporo - Notice of Accommodation Tax Implementation

Beginning April 1, 2026, an accommodation tax will be introduced in both Hokkaido and Sapporo.
We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation.

Start Date of Taxation

The tax will apply to all stays from April 1, 2026 onward.

※ Even if the reservation was made before April 1, 2026, the tax will still apply.
※ Stays that begin on March 31 and end on April 1, 2026, are exempt from taxation.

Accommodation Tax Rates

The tax amount will be determined based on the room rate,
and will be charged per person per night.

The accommodation tax will be collected at check-in.

Tax Exemptions

Children, pupils, and students participating in school trips or school events
organized by schools defined under Article 1 of the School Education Act
(excluding universities) are exempt from the tax.
