Experience the nostalgic summer festival with drinks, cuisine, and dancing, recreated in the Mercure style for one day only.

Event Details:

We will hold a one-day-only NATSUMATSURI, recreating the nostalgic summer festival with a French touch through drinks, cuisine, and dance.

Cuisine: Our in-house French chef has crafted an original “festival-style cuisine” inspired by traditional Japanese summer festivals. Enjoy the exciting atmosphere of the festival and the sophisticated fusion by our hotel chef.

Drinks: Alcoholic and soft drinks are available for unlimited consumption. Enjoy your drinks and cuisine to your heart’s content.

Performances: The festival will be highlighted by performances from EZO Minbu Ren “Ouka” and YOSAKOI Soran team “Hokusubaru”. Enjoy the various festival dances from all over Japan, and the powerful YOSAKOI Soran up close. There will also be a Bon Odori dance lecture by EZO Minbu Ren Ouka. In the end, let’s dance together in the nostalgic Japanese Bon Odori style.

Mercure Sapporo, 4th Floor Banquet Halls “Paris”, “Nice”, and Courtyard “La Terrasse”.
*In case of rain, the event will be held in “Paris” and “Nice” only.

Time and Fees:

Daytime Event:

  • Reception: 11:30 AM
  • Event: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM (Last order for food and drinks at 1:45 PM)
    • Adults: 6,000 yen
    • Elementary school children: 3,500 yen
    • Preschool children: Free

Evening Event:

  • Reception: 5:30 PM
  • Event: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM (Last order for food at 8:00 PM, and drinks at 8:15 PM)
    • Adults: 7,000 yen
    • Elementary school children: 4,000 yen
    • Preschool children: Free

There will also be a lucky draw during both the daytime and evening events with wonderful prizes!

Mercure Original “Festival-style” Menu Example:

  • Beef fillet and chicken thigh brochettes with green onion salt (inspired by yakitori)
  • Stuffed squid with pearl barley and mushrooms, with sea urchin sauce (inspired by grilled squid)
  • Deep-fried pike conger in batter (inspired by karaage)
  • Fettuccine Bolognese (inspired by yakisoba)
  • Corn soup with grilled Pure White corn (inspired by grilled corn)
  • Colorful French fries with truffle salt (inspired by fried potatoes)
  • Arancini with tomato sauce and honey mustard (inspired by French dogs)
  • Grilled red shrimp with dried tomatoes and olive tapenade with sansho pepper (inspired by grilled shrimp)
  • Gratinated Hokkaido scallops (inspired by grilled scallops)
  • Chocolate bananas in a chocolate fountain (inspired by chocolate bananas)
  • Shaved ice, candied apples, candied strawberries, Japanese sweets

Drink Menu:

Alcoholic Drinks: Beer, red and white wines (3-4 varieties each), sparkling wine, whiskey, cocktails, etc. Non-alcoholic Drinks: Non-alcoholic beer, orange juice, grapefruit juice, apple juice, cola, ginger ale, oolong tea, and more.

Performances:

EZO Minbu Ren Ouka: They will showcase traditional festival dances from all over Japan, including “Owara Kaze no Bon” and “Hokkai Bon Uta”. There will also be a lecture on Bon Odori. Let’s dance together!

YOSAKOI Soran Team Hokusubaru: Based in Sapporo, their concept is “Gathering Thoughts, Stirring Hearts with the Sound of Subaru”. They have won numerous awards on the final stage and are a powerhouse team. Enjoy their powerful performance up close.
